John Kerry wants Moscow out of Syria

It is time Russia should stop supporting Assad, US Secretary of State John Kerry told his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in a telephone conversation. According to Kerry, Moscow's cooperation with the official government of Syria is fraught with aggravation and expansion of the conflict in the Arab country. Russia thus prevents the international fight against extremism. The solution, Kerry said, lies in the change of the Syrian administration, while Assad "could never be a reliable member of the coalition" to fight  the Islamic State.
