Obama can't save Africa

US President Barack Obama continues his African tour. The American leader visited Kenya and then went to Ethiopia. Obama has thus become the first American leader, who paid an official visit to Addis Ababa. Obama emphasized the need to combat terrorism in the East African region and conducted talks on the situation in South Sudan.

"Obama has always been interested in such issues as Africa and relations with developing countries and Latin America. Yet, this is one of the problems that Obama has both as president and person - he is interested in different things that he has failed to combine."

During the visit, Obama urged his Kenyan counterpart to pay attention to gay rights in Africa, and named the main obstacle for the development of the African continent - corruption.

"As for the eradication of corruption, Western liberals believe that creating an efficient state that would function without anti-corruption struggle is impossible. The Western liberal society can not have a different point of view regarding this matter. If they have no other ideology, they will not be able to explain it to their voters what they actually want. They say that life in Africa will improve only when corruption is eradicated, as if the problem of South Sudan is about corruption."
