Famous Russian pop singer Zhanna Friske died June 15 after a long battle with a serious illness. She was 40 years old.
A few years ago the singer was diagnosed with brain cancer. Zhanna was treated for a long time in the United States, in the Baltic States and in China.
Russia's First Channel collected an impressive amount of money to help the singer - 66 million rubles, of which she donated a lot to children who suffer from cancer.
It appeared that Zhanna was winning the battle with the disease. Her condition was gradually improving, but then suddenly deteriorated. The disease took the woman's life as she was staying in her home in Moscow.
According to the father of the singer, Zhanna was in a coma for three months before she died.
