Commander Mozgovoi to be buried on May 27

The commander of "Ghost" battalion Alexei Mozgovoi will be buried in the People's Republic of Luhansk on May 27. 

Mozgovoi's four colleagues and two civilians were killed in the attack on May 23 on a highway near the village of Mikhailovka. The commander's vehicle was exploded and then sprayed with machine gun fire. 

Ukrainian partisan group "Shadows" claimed responsibility for the attack. The leader of the group, Alexander Gladky, described the details of the attack on his Facebook page.

According to him, three people were killed in the explosion, whereas three others were killed with automatic fire. 

Yet, adviser to the head of the Ministry for Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Anton Gerashchenko, said that Mozgovoi was killed by agents of the Russian Central Intelligence Directorate. According to Gerashchenko, Mozgovoi was killed because he did not want to obey orders from Moscow. 

Meanwhile, residents of the town of Alchevsk gathered for a rally to pay a minute of silence to the victims of the attack.
