The new Captain of Jose Mourinho’s Real Madrid is goalkeeper Casillas, after the exits of Guti and Raul. In his first interview, he said that Brazilian midfielder kaka is calm, despite the groin injury aggravated after the World Cup Finals in South Africa.
Jose Mourinho readies himself for his new team’s first competitive match on Wednesday in California, where Real Madrid will play against América, from Mexico. Then in three days’ time, the next game will be against USA side LA Galaxy. The good news is that Kaká is back after injury, returning to real Madrid’s HQ on Sunday. The bad news is that his groin strain persists.
For Casillas, Kaká “feels calm, there is no rush, and rushing can be bad especially in the pre-season”. In an interview with Spanish newspaper Ás, Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho has declared that one of his main objectives in the pre-season tour of the United states of America is to get Kaká back to his previous form before the groin injury which took him off the field for part of last season.
Kaká stated after the World Cup Finals that he might have to have an operation on his groin if the pains continued, however Mourinho has declared recently that it should suffice to undergo a treatment and prevent the surgery, which would keep Kaka away from the team for some months.
Mourinho has requested the medical department of Real Madrid to make a recovery plan for Kaká, based, according to Ás, on strengthening his abdominal muscles.
