"Moscow As the Youth Sees It" exhibition opens in Moscow on Thursday - 26 September, 2002

"Moscow As the Youth Sees It. Megalopolis of the 21st Century. The Year 2002" exposition will be held in the Moscow state exhibition hall The New Manezh from September 26th through October 3rd.

RIA Novosti reports that it is the first project of using the professional potential of the Moscow creative youth.

The main theme of the exposition is "The City As a Subject of Creative Work." It has been organized within the framework of the city's target programme "My Yard, My Entrance" by the LiK charity foundation with the support of the committee on social and inter-regional ties of the Moscow government.

Taking part in the competition programme of the exhibition are more than 200 young authors. The judges selected 115 best works made by way of various techniques and in various genres. Among them are all kinds of easel and monumental forms of fine arts, objects of decorative-applied arts, architectural-planning projects, drawings, mock-ups, designer projects of decorative elements and details, models of clothes, furniture, photographs, computer drawing, videos.

The authors of the best works, selected by the judges in five nominations will be decorated with memorable prizes and diplomas.

A presentation of the projects, a "round table", a scientific-practical seminar, meetings between young authors of promising projects and representatives of the city's prefectures will be part of the exhibition.
