Motorola unveils new phone outfitted with Kodak’s Imaging Technology

Motorola’s new MOTOZINE ZN5 becomes the first-ever mobile phone outfitted with Kodak’s Imaging Technology. The new phone has been created for creative users of mobile phones, who do not only want to make calls, but also take photographs with their camera phones. More than that, an owner of the new ZN5 will be able to be a retoucher, an exhibitor and a critic.

The phone, based on Kodak’s Imaging Technology, comes complete with an ultra-fast 5 megapixel camera. Thus, Motorola’s new device challenges SonyEricsson’s CyberShot technology. The ZN5 is a phone that can be transformed into a slick camera in a split second.

The camera offers multi-capture models such as multi-shot and panorama. Users will be able to view their photos from the home screen and share with with friends and family around the world.

In addition to the auto-focus and Xenon flash quality camera, Motorola ZN5’a CrystalTalk technology gives users a possibility to hear each other in noisy environments. The new creation by Motorola also offers GSM, WLAN support, as well as SMS, MMS, IM and personal email.

Pictures can be stored on the 350MB internal memory or by using the built-in microSD memory slot which supports up to 4GB cards.

The Motorola ZN5 comes with built-in Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/i and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, 3.5mm headphone jack and a 2.4" display capable of showing 262K colors at a resolution of 240 by 320 pixels. It also offer a TV-out port, FM radio and supports MP3, WMA audio formats and MPEG4, H263 video formats for multimedia playback.

Measuring 4.7 by 2 by 0.63 inches and weighing in at 4 ounces, the Motorola ZN5 will be available as an unlocked phone in the United States later this year.
