Russian tycoon Abramovich ignores audits of his financial activity and purchases palace and Boeing a

Russian businessman and governor of Chukotka region Roman Abramovich purchased Boeing-767-300 to have flying headquartes like the US President does, reported the St. Petersburg Times.

According to the newspaper, the aircraft will have the most modern equipment, including missile defense system. Its inner interior will correspond the premium standards.

The sources from the circles close to Mr. Abramovich and his partners, said that the aircraft market price is $100 million, and it was bought from a company registered in the Kaiman Islands. Currently the aircraft is in Switzerland ion the premises of Jet Aviation company making interior design of aircrafts belonging to individuals. Earlier the aircraft was painted in Great Britain in the style the another Mr. Abramovich’s aircraft – Boeing-737 had.

The  St. Petersburg Times does not name the price of the interior design for the aircraft. Jet Aviation company constructed the model of Boeing aircraft interior design in 2003 for some unidentified individual, this model costs $150-300 thousand. The missile defense system alone can cost about $1.5 billion. According to the sources, the new Boeing of Roman Abramovich will be registered in the Netherlands as his first aircraft was.

In addition, on March 25 the Novye Izvestia newspaper wrote about Mr. Abramovich’s purchasing one of the palaces on English Embankment in St. Petersburg. City Parliament Deputy Alexei Kovalev said that the building known as Palace of Patroness Maria Tanisheva had been purchased for official representation of Chukotka region where Mr. Abramovic is the governor.
