Seminar on EU-Russia Relations after EU Expansion to Be Held in Kaliningrad on March 27 - 25 March, 2003

A seminar on the prospects for EU-Russia relations after the recent wave of EU expansion will take place in Kaliningrad on March 27. The seminar will be specially aimed at the role of the Kaliningrad Region. As a Rosbalt correspondent reports, the event is being organised by the international committee Russia in a United Europe with assistance from the regional administration and the local Duma.

The seminar, entitled Kaliningrad: what next?, is expected to feature special representatives of the Russian and Lithuanian presidents, who will express their opinions on the Kaliningrad problem, as well as Chairmen of the Committees on International Affairs of the Russian State Duma and the Lithuanian Seima Dmitry Rogozin and Gediminas Kirkilas. The seminar will also feature EU Representative to Russia Richard Wright, Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Vladimir Yegorov and Chairman of the Regional Duma Vladimir Nikitin.
