Chuck Mann: Some police procedures should be changed

In the last few weeks, two more incidents of ''alleged'' police brutality have been videotaped. Police officers are only human, but we civilians need to make sure that cops are held to a higher standard than the average citizen. After all, in some cases the police have the power to take away your property, freedom, and even your life. 
                                     
I think some police procedures should be changed. All police officers should be required to tell the truth while on duty.You do know that they can legally lie during investigations and interrogations ? I don't think they should be allowed to '' detain'' people without charging them with a crime, but the Supreme Court says it is ok. Doesn't it bother you that cops can buy and sell illegal  drugs?                                                                                                                          

If we allow cops to do illegal and unethical things on some occasions, then we shouldn't be surprised when they do illegal and unethical things on other occasions. No one should be above [or outside of] the law.
