Family of kidnapped Israeli soldier seeks for support in London

Karnit Goldwasser, her father-in-law, Shlomo, and other family members are traveling to New York on Wednesday to make a similar plea.

The relatives say they are also making the appeal on behalf of Eldad Regev, 26, who was kidnapped in the same raid, and Gilad Shalit, 19, who was captured by Hamas militants near Gaza on June 25.

Shlomo Goldwasser said the families have become close since the kidnappings and have provided each other with emotional support, according to the AP.
