Theron has won the film rights to "Ice" several years ago but just now she found the right team to bring this project to life, Spotlighting News reports.
The South African-born actress decided to employ Alan Parker after studying his directing resume, including the 1989 Gene Hackman drama Mississippi Burning and the biopic Angela's Ashes, Toronto Sun reports.
Theron persuaded Parker so much that he simply couldn't resist the charm of the sexy blond actress.
