Serbia to reshuffle Cabinet as EU suspends pre-entry talks

Nearly two months after economy expert Miroljub Labus - the Balkan republic's top negotiator with the EU - quit the Cabinet, his post is expected to be taken over by Ivana Dulic-Markovic, a fellow member of the liberal G17 Plus party, who previously served as agriculture minister.

After weeks of intense political bargaining in the ruling coalition, Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica proposed Dulic-Markovic as his new deputy, and Goran Zivkov as the new agriculture minister.

Labus left after the EU said last month it would not discuss Serbia's pre-entry agreement as long as Mladic is at large. The Bosnian Serb wartime commander has been indicted by the Netherlands-based U.N. war crimes tribunal for his role in the Bosnian war, including the 1995 killing of up to 8,000 Muslims in Srebrenica, the AP reports.
