Crane collapse in Alabama: 1 killed
A dock worker in Mobile was killed and anothe rinjured when a giant container crane collapsed on top of them.
Officials say it's unclear what caused the 40-metric ton crane to fall.
The Coast Guard and the Mobile Fire Department are investigating.
Dock officials say some shipping containers were damaged and Haz-Mat crews were investigating leaks from the containers, but they considered the scene to be safe.
They say the crane was not in operation at the time of the accident.
The accident did not disrupt port operations, reports WTVY.
