Polls shows most Floridians, disgruntled with Bush, unlikely to vote for his brother, Jeb

A large majority of voters in the state that handed &to=http://english.pravda.ru/mailbox/22/101/399/16096_Bush.html' target=_blank>President George W. Bush the win in the 2000 elections indicated that their dissatisfaction with the president would carry over to his brother, Florida's governor, should he run for the presidency in 2008, according to a poll released Wednesday.

Fifty-eight percent of Florida voters polled said they probably would not or definitely would not vote for Gov. Jeb Bush in a presidential race while only 33 percent said they probably or definitely would vote for him, according to the poll by Quinnipiac University of Hamden, Connecticut.

The results come as President Bush's approval rating has dropped to an all-time low of 37 percent, pulled down by the war in Iraq and a CIA leak criminal investigation involving top White House officials, according to a recent AP-Ipsos poll. Another survey found the majority of Americans are not impressed by the &to=http://english.pravda.ru/letters/2003/02/11/43227.html' target=_blank>Bush administration's ethics and honesty.

Growing disapproval of the president has also prompted some Republicans recently up for re-election in state races to shy away from Bush's endorsement something usually coveted. Democrats won many of those races.
