New statue of Ataturk in British waxwork museum

A new waxwork statue of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of modern Turkey, will be unveiled at Madame Tussauds museum in London Thursday.

The previous statue had been a source of long-standing irritation for many Turks who claimed it looked nothing like the revered leader. The new Ataturk waxwork has been sponsored by Turkey's wealthy Koc family. Mustafa Koc, CEO of Koc Holding, a diversified Turkish industrial group, was scheduled to attend the opening. A.M.
