Before heading to the United States, South Korean President &to=http:// english.pravda.ru/world/2003/01/20/42254.html ' target=_blank>Roh Moo-hyun stressed the importance of his country's six-decade-long alliance with Washington.
In a speech to military leaders, Mr. Roh credited the alliance with the United States as the basis for South Korea's political and economic success.
