Former Hole singer leaves hospital

As reported by Reuters, troubled rock star Courtney Love was discharged on Monday from a Manhattan hospital where she spent the weekend.

Love was admitted to Bellevue Hospital Center on Friday, several hours after being declared a fugitive from justice for missing a court appearance in Los Angeles on a felony charge of assault with a dangerous weapon, reported Reuters.

According to ElitesTV, the singer ended up in the hospital in her 40th birthday on Friday. Her lawyer Michael Rosenstein stats Love was hospitalized due to a “gynecological condition.”

New York City police, who are acting on a bench warrant issued for her arrest after she failed to appear in a Los Angeles court, could take the troubled rocker into custody when she's released from Bellevue Hospital, possibly as early as Monday.

According to E! Online, the former Hole singer was due in the L.A. court Friday to face arraignment on a felony count of assault with a deadly weapon. That charge stems from an Apr. 25 incident at ex-boyfriend Jim Barber's house in which Love allegedly attacked a 32-year-old woman with a liquor bottle and a flashlight.

Love's lawyer told the judge that the performer was "confused" about whether she had to appear in court and was back in her New York apartment. The judge didn't buy it. He issued a warrant for her arrest and doubled her bail to $150,000.

Hours later, paramedics rushed to the hospital instead for what her attorney said was a "gynecological condition."

The New York Times claims she wasn't exactly in a celebratory mood.
