Libya and Iran bought nuclear materials in Pakistan?

Libya received enriched uranium from Pakistan in 2001.

A source in the International Atomic Energy Agency said Friday that Zayed Abu Tahir, assistant to the "father of the Islamic atomic bomb", Abdul Kadyr Khan, admitted this when interrogated by Malaysian police.

The 12-page text of interrogation will be sent to Vienna to be studied by IAEA experts.

Besides, Zayed Abu Tahir, a citizen of Sri Lanka, who lives in Malaysia, when summoned for interrogation in regard to the Abdul Kadyr Khan case, said the head of Pakistan's nuclear program charged him with selling to Iran two containers with centrifuges for uranium enrichment in 1994. The police report says, "Tahir organized transportation of containers with centrifuges via Dubai (UAE) to Iran using a commercial ship." In connection with Tahir's latest statements, Malaysian authorities assured the IAEA that they were fully ready to cooperate with the agency. For the time being, they have confiscated Tahir's passport so that he couldn't leave the Malaysian capital and could be interrogated any time.
