Air flights between Kabul and Dushanbe resumed

Regular air flights between Dushanbe and Kabul were resumed on Thursday.

As a RIA Novosti correspondent was told in the management of the Tochikiston Airlines, on Thursday a Boeing-727 of the Ariana Afghan airlines landed at Dushanbe airport.

The flights between Kabul and Dushanbe will be carried out every Thursday according to the earlier achieved agreement between the Tochikiston and Ariana companies. A single ticket costs 100 dollars, and a return ticket -140 dollars.

The spokesman for the Tochikiston company specified that planes would fly on this route from August 28 to October 23 in the experimental regime. If the passenger traffic on these flights amounts to 30 percent, they will become permanent. In April 2002, the Tochikiston company began weekly flights between Dushanbe and Kabul, but because of the low passenger traffic and the high cost of the tickets (150 dollars for a single ticket), they were stopped in two months.
