Collective Security Treaty Participants Preparing Meeting of Foreign and Defence Ministers

The representatives of the countries - parties to the Treaty on Collective Security (DKB) have declared to be for further development and deepening of interstate interaction with a view to ensuring stability and security in the zone of the Treaty's responsibility. (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Armenia are parties to the DKB).

As RIA Novosti was told on Tuesday in the press service of the secretariat of the Council of Collective Security (SKB), this theme was widely discussed in the course of the past consultations of the plenipotentiary representatives of the states - parties to the DKB. They paid particular attention to the issues related to the preparation of the joint meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the Council of Ministers of Defence to be held in Dushanbe on April 27-28.

It was noted that strengthening the military component of the Treaty and forming an Organisation of the Treaty on Collective Security remains a priority issue, the SKB secretariat emphasises.
