Serbia Toughens Measures to Find Milosevic's Wife

The wife of Yugoslavia's former president Slobodan Milosevic, Mira Markovic, will soon be included in the Interpol "red" list. It means that the Interior Ministry of the country that founds the former "first lady" must arrest her and inform the Serb police, Serbian Interior Minister Dusan Mihajlovic said.

The son of Yugoslavia's ex-president, Marko Milosevic, has already been added to the "red" list, he said.

Serbian mass media previously reported that Milosevic's son was residing in Moscow and Mira Markovic had also arrived in the Russian capital in late February. However, neither Serbian nor Russian sources have released any official information on the subject.

According to the Serbian Minister, Milosevic's wife is currently placed on the Interpol "blue" list. This means that the Interior Ministry of the country where she is must only inform the Serbian authorities.
