Russian border guards controlling the Tajik-Afghan border have discovered a cache with 110 kg of heroin. According to the press service of the Russian border troops stationed in Tajikistan, the cache was found on a plain on the border section controlled by the Moscow border detachment.
The border guards found the drug with the help of specially trained dogs, said the press service.
In all, since the beginning of 2003, Russian border guards controlling the Tajik-Afghan border have seized more than 1,270 kg of drugs, including more than 850 kg of heroin, the same amount that was seized there during the first six months of 2002.
