South Korean President's Aide Discusses Situation on Korean Peninsula with Russian Leaders

Possibilities of improving the situation on the Korean Peninsula and ensuring its nuclear-free status were the centrepiece of the talks between the South Korean President's aide, Secretary of the President's National Security Council Na Song-il with Russian leaders, the Russian Foreign Ministry's information and press department reported.

Problems of security of all states in Northeast Asia were also on the agenda of Na Song-il's visit held on March 30th - April 1st.

In Moscow, the South Korean official met Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov, Secretary of the Security Council Vladimir Rushailo, deputy head of the Russian President's administration Sergei Prikhodko and other officials.

The meetings also touched upon issues of further development of Russian-South Korean relations in the spirit of good neighbourhood and constructive mutual partnership.
