Conference "World Trade Organisation and Interests of Business"

The regional practical conference World Trade Organisation and Interests of Business, initiated by the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Russia, opened in Vladivostok (the Maritime Territory) on Friday.

As the press centre of the Territorial administration reported, the business community of the Maritime Territory will familiarise itself with the drafts of Russia's obligations on access to the market of goods and services, and with the new legislative acts in the sphere of foreign economic relations and economic regulation which must be adopted by the moment of Russia's entry into the WTO.

The Maritime businessmen will be informed of how they will be able to use Russia's forthcoming membership of the WTO for ensuring their commercial interests.

The practical conferences devoted to the problems and prospects of Russia's entering the WTO have been held in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Khabarovsk and other cities of the country.

Their purpose was to help the country's business circles to get a better idea of the WTO's possibilities and to hear out their ideas and proposals, the officials of the Territorial administration's press centre noted.
