Weapons and ammunition found in a cache on Tajik-Afghan border

A Kalashnikov assault rifle, a Kalashnikov light submachine gun, and 300 7.62 cartridges were found in a cache on the Tajik-Afghan border, reported the press service of Russian border guards in Tajikistan.

The cache was discovered in the course of a search through the border section controlled by the Kala-Khumb border detachment.

In the meantime, Farkhor-Kokul checkpoint situated on the border section controlled by the Moscow border detachment waved through a cargo from the Tajik capital Dushanbe. The cargo consisted of 13 tons of concrete, construction materials, and equipment.

Nizhny Panj checkpoint on the border section controlled by the Panj border detachment and Ishkashim checkpoint on the border section controlled by the Ishkashim border detachment also waved through a number of people, transport vehicles, and construction cargos.
