There is no ground for xenophobia in Belarus, Lukashenko believes

Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko believes that there is no ground for xenophobia in Belarus, let alone anti-Semitic sentiments. While responding to journalists' questions, he said that the recent desecration of Jewish graves in Belarus was "mere hooliganism". According to him, 2 million people pass by Belarus every day, and "it is unknown who may have done this".

"The Belarussian people is internationalist by its nature, therefore the state policy is based on curbing any incitement to ethnic conflicts," Lukashenko said. According to him, Belarus will neither accept an anti-Russian nor an anti-Jewish policy.
