Exact date of meeting between Alexander Lukashenko and Vladimir Putin to be determined at beginning of August

At the beginning of August the presidents of Belorussia and Russia intend to determine the exact date of their meeting, Belorussian President Alexander Lukashenko announced in response to journalists' queries.

According to Lukashenko, at first the meeting was scheduled for July 9. However Russo-Belorussian agreements, which had been reached earlier, were not complied with, Lukashenko remarked. In particular, these were concerned with equal prices for energy resources and railway tariffs, he said. The Belorussian head of state assured that all the problems, hindering Russo-Belorussian integration, would be solved.

Alexander Lukashenko stressed that his relations with Vladimir Putin were still quite normal. "Our relations are very kind, friendly and they will remain the same," Lukashenko said.
