Russia gives 50 tons of gratuitous assistance to Tajikistan

The Russian government gave 50 tons of gratuitous assistance to Tajikistan, the Russian Embassy to Tajikistan told RIA Novosti.

According to a spokesman for the Embassy, Andrei Osipov, the humanitarian assistance includes 28 tons of tea, 20 tons of tinned vegetables and meat and Niva cars.

This is the first batch of Russia's gratuitous assistance to Tajikistan, Osipov said. The second lot, including 5,000 tons of grain, 500 tons of fuel and food products, will be delivered to Dushanbe soon.
