Kamchatka Governor meets members of the Japanese committee for studying the Peninsula

Governor of the Kamchatka region Mikhail Mashkovtsev on Tuesday met members of the delegation of the Japanese committee for studying the Kamchatka Peninsula. This has been reported by the press service of the administration of the Kamchatka region (a peninsula in the Sea of Okhotsk).

The Japanese delegation arrived in the evening of July 22nd. The committee has been studying the Kamchatka Peninsula for more than ten years now. This testifies to Japan's unabated interest in its northern neighbour.

The official interests of the committee lie in studying and developing the tourist industry on the peninsula, in organising educational processes and exchanges of technologies. The process of student exchange has been given a new impulse.

On July 25th, a protocol will be signed on cooperation between the administration of the Kamchatka region and the Japanese committee for studying Kamchatka.
