Afghan drug dealers still holding one hostage?

Another two residents of the border village of Parvar, Tajikistan's Shurabad region, have been released by Afghan drug dealers. Russian frontier guards took an active part in their liberation, a military source in Dushanbe reported.

The Tajik Security Council and the republic's governmental State Border Control Committee, queried by RIA Novosti, did not confirm the information.

Early on July 16th, an armed group captured and forcibly transferred to Afghanistan 4 Tajik citizens. A day later the criminals released a hostage, who delivered a note, demanding a ransom of $80,000.

At present the drug dealers request 80 cows and 100 sheep for the last hostage, the military source in Dushanbe said.
