China: AIDS catastrophe forecast
The United Nations Organisation has warned China that it is facing an AIDS epidemic of catastrophic proportions and has criticised Peking for not doing enough to turn the situation around.
The UN has issued figures which claim that there have been one million new infections in the last two years, while the figure could rise to ten million by 2010.
The Chinese government has promised to provide more screening tests.
