Russian-South Korean train of friendship to go from Vladivostok to St.Petersburg

300 delegates from Russia and South Korea intend to make a two-week trip on the "Train of Friendship" from Vladivostok, the central city of the Primorye territory, to St.Petersburg. The train sets off on July 16th and arrives in St.Petersburg on July 31st.

The Train of Friendship international project will open a new page in strengthening business and cultural cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the Russian Federation. There are no serious obstacles for its fulfilment, believe the participants in a Russian-South Korean meeting devoted to the project, held on Thursday in Vladivostok, said Viktor Gorchakov, head of the department for international cooperation, regional development and investments at the Primorye administration.

During the trip the train will make long stops in Vladivostok, Khabarovsk, Irkutsk, Yekaterinburg (regional centres in the Far East and Siberia), as well as in Moscow and St.Petersburg. Seminars, round tables to gather representatives of Russian and South Korean business circles, exhibitions of Korean products, a Russian-Korean youth festival and concerts will be organized in these cities.

The politicians, businessmen, scientists and cultural workers will also hold business discussions and exchange of opinions on the prospects for the countries' cooperation on their way from the Pacific to the Baltic.
