Council of Heads of CIS Security Bodies and Secret Services holds session in Tbilisi

The twelfth session of the Council of the Heads of Security Bodies and Secret Services of the member-countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) opens in Tbilisi on Tuesday. The RIA Novosti correspondent was told about it in the Public Relations Centre of the Russian Federal Security Service. At this session, which will end on May 17th, it is envisaged to discuss the implementation of the Protocol on cooperation in the sphere of preventing the entry into the CIS countries of the persons who have no legal rights to this, and the further development of the United Bank of Data of the CIS Security bodies and secret services on combating organised crime. The session participants will also consider the realisation of joint measures for revealing and checking channels of financing terrorist organisations and illegal armed units, as well as questions concerning the organisation of joint measures for checking the trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances. The Public Relations Centre of the Russian Federal Security Service pointed out that at this session it was also envisaged to discuss the activity of the CIS Anti-Terrorist Centre.
