President Of Georgia Speaks In Support Of Developing Relations With Russia

President of Georgia Eduard Shevardnadze confirmed the readiness of his country to develop relations with the Russian Federation based on equal rights and mutual interests in all directions. While making a traditional speech live on a national radio station, the President of Georgia expressed his satisfaction with the results of a visit of Secretary of the Russian Security Council Vladimir Rushaylo to Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia.

In his opinion, Rushaylo's visit to Georgia was rather timely and was due to "both Moscow and Tbilisi being unsatisfied with the current level of Russian-Georgian relations" now, the Black Sea PRESS information agency reported to RosBusinessConsulting. It is worth mentioning that while in Tbilisi, Rushaylo and Georgian officials agreed to sign a joint protocol on a further collaboration and interaction between the Security Councils of Russia and Georgia.
