Fidel Castro called the resolution of the UN human rights commission condemning Cuba a "Pyrrhic victory" and the "moral defeat of the United States". The Cuban leader made this statement on Thursday during the meeting devoted the 40th anniversary of the victory in the Bay of Pigs, in which about 12,000 people took part. The day before, the UN commission adopted in Geneva a resolution condemning the situation with the observance of human rights in Cuba. Fidel Castro also said that on Friday Cuban experts will thoroughly analyse the resolution. According to him, "the empire and its adherents" will hear "a lot of interesting things". Fidel Castro also decorated 11 "prominent revolutionaries" with the order of "Hero of the Republic of Cuba".
