Russian, Romanian Leaders Likely To Meet At The Beginning Of 2002

Moscow and Bucharest's leaders will try to meet at the beginning of 2002, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov said after negotiations with his Romanian counterpart Mircea Geoana. The Russian Prime Minister expressed his high hopes that today's meeting of the Russian-Romanian intergovernmental commission will promote preparations for the Romanian Prime Minister's visit to Russia to expand trade and economic cooperation between our countries. The Russian and Romanian foreign ministers discussed the present condition of bilateral relations and the prospects for development of trade and economic links during today's negotiations.
