Spanish Deputy Foreign Minister Arrives In Georgia

Spanish Deputy Foreign Minister, Secretary of State for the EU Affairs Ramon de Miguel is arriving in Georgia for a two-day official visit Monday. Ramon de Miguel is to hold meetings with Georgian President Eduard Shevardnadze, Foreign Minister Irakly Menagarishvili, his first deputy Georgy Burduli and deputy Tamara Beruchashvili, the press centre of the Georgian Foreign Ministry told RIA Novosti. Ramon de Miguel is also scheduled to meet Georgian Interior Minister Kakha Targamadze and to discuss the problem of releasing two Spanish businessmen kidnapped in Tbilisi in November 2000 and being kept in the Pankisi Gorge, according to the information available.
