Session Of Russian-Argentinian Intergovernmental Commission Completed In Buenos Aires

The concluding document of the 4th session of the Russian-Argentinian intergovernmental commission on trade-economic and scientific-technological cooperation was signed in the Argentinian capital Thursday. The delegation heads, Russian deputy minister of economic development and trade Vladimir Karastin and first deputy foreign minister of Argentina Horacio Chighizola, signed the document. Cooperation in the spheres of oil, gas, food industries, energy, and agriculture has been acknowledged as having the best prospects. Argentinians are interested in participation of Russian organizations in construction of drainage canals to clear aftermaths of floods in the Buenos Aires province and in supplies of liquefied gas production equipment. While speaking on problems in trade relations, the Argentinians said they would seek removal of the ban imposed on beef import in Russia, along with ban on import of products which are not carriers of foot-and-mouth disease. The Russian side claimed, in its turn, that the Argentinian anti-damping dues on roll metal hampered the Russian exporters.
