In Bosnia Unknown Persons Throw Hand Grenade Under Russian Military Vehicles From Sfor

Unknown persons threw a hand grenade into a convoy of trucks of the Russian military contingent from a SFOR international force for stabilisation in Bosnia and Herzegovina /BAH/. There were no casualties. This correspondent was told in Wednesday by the command of the Russian peace-keepers that the incident took place on the day before when the convoy was leaving the village of Simin Khan (outside Tuzla) for Ugljevik. The F1 grenade was thrown from the window of a white-coloured car, which disappeared round the corner at once. The grenade, fortunately, did not go off. The command of the Russian battalion informed the UN mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the SFOR command and the police of the happening. All international contingents within the SFOR, including the Russians, are on enhanced combat alert following the start of US-led air strikes against Afghanistan.
