Russian authorities have decided to evacuate some of the Russian citizens residing in Pakistan, announced official foreign ministry spokesman Alexander Yakovlev. According to his words, the decision was prompted by the situation in Pakistan and adjacent areas. The decision concerns employees of Russian missions to Islamabad and Karachi and those of the Russian natives permanently residing in Pakistan who expressed a desire to leave the country. In all, the list of evacuees contains more than 100 names. The evacuating procedure, which involves a number of Russian ministries and departments, including the emergencies ministry, starts in the near future.
