Ukraine is likely to receive $100m in the second tranche of the World Bank's credit to support the economic programme of the Ukrainian government, Luca Barbone, the World Bank director for Ukraine, told reporters Friday. He is now in Kiev on a routine visit with a World Bank mission. Kiev received the first tranche to the tune of $150m earlier this year. The question of Ukraine getting another $250 in mid-2002 is to be considered this February, said Luca Barbone. The World Bank is cooperating with Ukraine in 26 projects totalling $2.2 billion.
