Slovakia's President Speaks Up For Broader Business Cooperation With Russia

Rudolf Schuster, President of Slovakia, is sure that cooperation with Russia, its regions and cities will expand despite Slovakia's integration in European and North Atlantic structures. He said this, opening up at the St.Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday, a meeting between a Slovak delegation and representatives of the largest enterprises of St.Petersburg. Rudolf Schuster noted that results of Slovak-Russian cooperation gladden him. But the scope of cooperation is not up to the capabilities of both sides, he believes. "Business activity of both countries must be permanently increased for the broadening of economic, scientific-technical and cultural relations between our peoples", said Rudolf Schuster. He stressed Slovakia's interest in the development of direct contacts with Russian enterprises in the engineering, chemical and construction sectors.
