In the course of his coming visit to Moscow US Secretary of State Colin Powell intends to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov, Powell said on Monday evening in an interview with the famous host of CNN, Larry King. According to Powell, in the course of the coming negotiations in Moscow the sides will address those issues, which were discussed during the recent visit by the Russian President to the USA. Those issues will be the new strategic framework of bilateral relations, including issues related to strategic weapons, anti-missile defence, the anti-terrorist operation, economic cooperation and regional security, the US Secretary of State said. Powell added that he had already held nine meetings with Igor Ivanov and that their tenth bilateral meeting would take place during his visit to Moscow. Noting that over that time his professional contacts with the Russian minister had become "very close", the US Secretary of State recalled that at various international conferences due next week he would at least "three times" meet the Russian Foreign Minister the negotiations with whom Powell called "very good". The press service of the US Department of State reported on Tuesday that Powell would visit Moscow in the first ten days of December.
