Date Of Referendums On Latvia's, Lithuania's, Estonia's Joining EU Fixed

Referendums on joining the European Union will be held in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia on August 23, 2003, Latvian President Andris Berzinsh told the second All-Latvian forum on joining the EU. The date of the referendum is timed to an anniversary of the so-called Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact signed on August 23, 1939.
