Another Round Of Russian-Chinese Staff Talks Held In Russia

The 5th round of the Russian-Chinese staff talks was held in Russia November 23-27. This was disclosed Wednesday by Nikolai Baranov, a representative of the Russian Armed Forces press centre. According to him, the Chinese delegation at the talks was headed by deputy chief of the General Staff of the People's Liberation Army of China Colonel-General Xiong Guangkai and the Russian side was represented by Deputy Chief of the General Staff Colonel-General Yuri Baluyevsky. The sides discussed problems of ensuring strategic stability and regional security, combating international terrorism and national separatism, as well as the state and prospects of developing bilateral military cooperation, Baranov reported. Heads of other power departments of Russia also held working meetings with the Chinese delegation, Nikolai Baranov added.
