Russian Borderguard Aviation Never Violates Georgian Frontier In Search For Chechen Militants

The Russian borderguard aircraft never violate the Georgian frontier as they make reconnaissance flights twice a day close to it in search of Chechen militants in mountain pass hideouts, Colonel-General Evgeni Bolkhovitin, chief of the North Caucasian regional board of Russia's Federal Frontier Service, says in a statement the board PR have circulated today. The Itum-Kalah borderguard unit, responsible for the Chechen stretch of the Russian-Georgian frontier, is not involved in army action against Chechen militants, and no fighting is on along the frontier, pointed out General Bolkhovitin.
