US Troops Do Not Intend To Stay Long In Afghanistan

US troops are not going to stay long in Afghanistan, Richard Haass, director of policy planning in the US State Department and special representative on Afghanistan, said at a meeting with Dmitry Rogozin, chairman of the State Duma international affairs committee. According to Mr. Haass, the mandate of US contingent presence in Afghanistan is only determined by the purposes of the current military campaign.
