U.s. President's Visit To Russia Scheduled For Mid-2002

The visit of U.S. President George W. Bush to Russia is scheduled for the middle of 2002, Russian Foreign Minister Igor Ivanov reported. Ivanov took part in the meeting between the Russian President and U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell. According to the minister, to reach a conclusion of "the legally registered document on a radical reduction of strategic offensive weapons would be a politically correct move" by that time. At the same time, Ivanov stressed that the document should be "fully transparent."
