The US hopes for cooperation in the sphere of anti-missile defence with Russia, which means joint military exercises and research programs, according to the White House press service. The White House circulated the above statement following George Bush passed a decision on the USA's unilateral withdrawal from the 1972 ABM Treaty. Apart from that, the USA is planning to discuss a possibility of holding regular talks on defence issues, and exchanging information on strategic forces, something which will step up bilateral effort against the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their delivery means, runs the statement. America is also enthusiastic about further dialogue with its allies, China and other involved countries on strategic stability and the challenges of the 21st century, according to the White House.
